Ukraine has enough material resources to ensure food security, Agriculture Minister says
"Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk announced this during his visit to PJSC Rise as part of his working trip to Sumy region held this week Mon.
«There is no threat of food shortage in our country. Ukraine produces three times more than it consumes, therefore, our task is to preserve foreign markets and extend them if possible,» Prysiazhniuk said. «We understand that weather conditions play a significant role in the agricultural sector. But we also know that if the achievements of science, technology and selection are used properly, Ukrainian farmers can have high yields regardless of the vagaries of nature,» Prysiazhniuk said.
