Russia. RAD winter sowings almost completed
PAVA daughter company RAD reported that sowings of winter crops are nearing completion. In this campaign, wheat and rye were planted by RAD’s farming units in Kamensky and Solton districts, using the majority of seeding material from the company’s own production, and purchasing a variety of elite sorts for the remaining part.

In August 2009, Ukrainian ports stopped decreasing cargo flow volumes
In August 2009, the majority of ports of Ukraine managed to stop the tendency of the fall of cargo flow volumes. The situation became more stabilized compared to previous months. But, the ports still do not show growing tendencies, declared Nikholay Pavluk, the head of Odessa port.
