As of Sept 1, agrarians harvested 85,600 MT millet, says State Statistics Committee
As of this year Sept 1, agrarians have harvested 85,600 MT millet (down 35.4% against last year Sept 1), reported State Statistics Committee.
As to Committee, millet has been harvested at 53,900 ha (down 24.5% as of last year
Sept 1).
As to report, this year millet average yield equals to 15,9 metric centners per ha (down 2,7 metric centners per ha against last year similar).
As to Agro Perspective, as of this year Jul 31, agrarians harvested 980,000 MT millet (up 2,6 times against last year Jul 31).
2008 millet crop totaled 220,700 MT (in terms of weight after additional processing), up 2,6 times (+ 136,400 MT) against 2007.
2007 millet crop totaled 84,200 MT (in terms of weight after additional processing), down 39,300 MT (- 31.8%) as of 2006.
