Plant Protection Committee
UCAB’s Plant Protection Committee was established on the initiative and with the support of leading international companies producing plant protection products operating in the Ukrainian market.
The purpose of the Committee’s activities is to develop a favorable business environment in the agro-industrial complex, exchange of experience between the Committee members, joint analysis of regulatory conditions and formation of a common position on their improvement.
The Committee serves as an effective platform for dialogue and cooperation with government authorities, including the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
Preparation of proposals to improve legislation and other regulations in the field of plant protection products.
Strengthening control and counteraction to the circulation of counterfeit plant protection products.
Ensuring stable and effective functioning of the state registration procedure for pesticides and agrochemicals.
Developing systematic communication between agricultural producers and beekeepers to prevent cases of bee poisoning when using plant protection products.
