Ukraine Rice Production Up 55.1% On Year
According to a report released by the Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA), the country has managed to produce 94,900 MT of rice in 2009, an increase of 55.1% compared to 2008.

Over 1.9 million tons of oil bearing crops sold in Ukraine's exchange market
According to the agricultural policy ministry, the volume of trade in oil-bearing crops of the 2009 harvest in Ukraine's exchange market totaled 1.915 million tons, including 879,000 tons on the spot and 1.036 million tons on the forward terms.

Port of Izmail to build a $6 million chemical terminal
Izmail Commercial Sea Port in Ukraine intends to build a chemical complex for storage of 10.000-15.000 tons of fertilizer. The project might cost about 50 million hryvna (about $6.25 million), the RBC-Ukraine reported citing Anatoly Koshko, Chief Engineer of the company. The terminal will be constructed in 1.5 year.

Obolon cuts beer output
In 2009, one of Ukraine's largest breweries, Kyiv-based CJSC Obolon, reduced beer production by 14.8% to 96.6 million decaliters, the company's press-service has said.
