Vodka output 12.1% up in January - September
The output of vodka and other hard liquors in January - September 2009 totaled 30.8 million decaliters, which is 12.1% up on the January - September 2008 volume, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine reported.
In September 2009, the production of vodka and other strong drinks totaled 2.8 million decaliters, which is 27.7% up on the August 2009 output, and 34.6% down against September 2008.
At the same time, the production of no-alcohol beverages in January - September 2009 was 122 million decaliters, which is 15.4% less than over the like 2008 period.
The output of non-alcoholic drinks in September made 8.3 million decaliters, which is 27% less than in August 2009 and 27.9% less than in September 2008, the State Statistics Committee says.
