Uzbekistan increased grain sowing areas by 48.800 ha
Uzbekistan increased sowing areas of spiked grains by 48.800 ha, alternative oilseeds by 12.400 ha, in order to provide complete satisfaction of the population needs in foodstuffs, according to the joint report of the Ministry of Economics and the State Committee of Statistics "About results of the social and economic development of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the first quarter of 2009".
The country increased sowing areas of milling crops at the expense of the reduction of cotton-plant sowing areas by 75.800 ha.
According to the document, in 2010-2011 period Uzbekistan will found 963 processing enterprises.
