Ukrainian parliament adopts state budget for 2014
The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has adopted the state budget for 2014.
A total of 249 MPs out of the 261 registered in the parliament's session hall voted for this decision on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
First Deputy Speaker Ihor Kaletnik opened a parliament meeting from the sector of the Party of Regions faction, because the rostrum and presidium were blocked by opposition MPs. Kaletnik said that the state budget for 2014 would be adopted without discussion due to the "inability to work in normal mode."
