Ukrainian grain export reaches 32 million tonnes
Ukraine exported 32 million tonnes of crops in 2013-2014 marketing year (MY). The press service of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry informs.
Actual export volumes reach 30.88 million tonnes, out of these: wheat - 8.865 million tonnes; corn - 19.368 million tons; barley - 2.297 million tonnes and other crops - 350,000 tonnes.
In addition, according to the branch ministry, at portside grain elevators, there are 866,000 tonnes of crops (wheat - 365,000 tonnes, barley - 60,000 tonnes, corn - 426,000 tonnes), loaded on ships are 314,000 tonnes.
Therefore, the volumes of exported and prepared for exports crops make up 32 million tonnes (wheat - 9.2 million tonnes, barley - 2.3 million tonnes and corn - 20 million tonnes).
As reported by Ukrinform, the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry forecasts the yield of grain and leguminous crops at 30.8 million tonnes. In total, the yield of grain and leguminous crops this year is expected at 62.135 million tonnes, including 30.322 million tonnes of corn, 21.23 million tonnes of wheat and 8.32 million tonnes of barley.
