Ukraine's economic news Ukraine exports 12.1m t of grain in 2010/2011 MY, says UAC
Ukraine exported 12.1 million tonnes of grain in the 2010/2011 marketing year (MY, July-June) against 21.2 million tonnes in the previous season, the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC) has reported.
According to the Friday report, in the 2010/2011 MY Ukraine exported four million tonnes of wheat, five million tonnes of corn and 2.7 million tonnes of barley.
The UAC said that in June Ukraine exported 1.5 million tonnes of grain, including 0.7 million tonnes of wheat, 0.5 million tonnes of corn and over 0.26 million tonnes of barley.
As reported, in the 2010/2011 marketing year the Ukrainian government redistricted grain exports through the introduction of quotas.
