Ukraine's economic news Nibulon in November to launch elevator with storage capacity of 77,000 t in Zhytomyr region
Mykolaiv-based Nibulon agricultural company, one of the largest grain and oil-bearing crops producers and exporters in Ukraine, plans on November 1, 2011 to launch the twentieth elevator complex with the storage capacity of 77,000 tonnes of grain and oilseeds, the company's press service has reported.
The report says that the elevator will start operating in Velyki Korovyntsi (Zhytomyr region). At present, the elevator is ready by 50-60%.
"The launch of the elevator, which can store 77,000 tonnes of grain and oilseeds, dry 5,000 tonnes per day and load 5,000 tonnes on railway cars, on November 1 will allow farmers not only harvest crops and dry them, but also to sell it at a good price or put in storage," reads the report.
Nibulon also plans to bring the storage capacity of its elevators to two million tonnes of grain by July 1, 2012, and by the completion of the realization of its large-scale investment program on the development of the infrastructure of the grain market and recovery of navigation on the Dnipro, Pivdenny Buh and other rivers – to 2.5 million tonnes.
