Ukraine: the responsible for grain export preventing to become punished
On August 2, 2010, Sergey Tigipko, the Vice Prime-Minister of Ukraine, stated that it is necessary to immediately cancel the decisions of any authority bodies causing the illegal delays of grain export parties.
According to S.Tigipko, in the current year, the general grain production in the country will total nearly 40 mln tonnes. Taking into account the volume of grain carry-over stocks, which totaled 6 mln tonnes, Ukraine fully satisfies the domestic demands of the State and is able to export 17 mln tonnes of grains.
He added that there is no any economic base for grain export obstructing.
The Vice Prime-Minister noticed that the recent illegal decisions of the State Customs Service and the Ukrainian Railways blocked grain exports from the country in fact. According to him, such illegal actions cause appearing of losses of agricultural products exporters and producers, worsening of the entrepreneurial and investment climate in the country, affecting the international image of the country.
According to him, to date, the market shows rather good conjuncture for selling of Ukrainian grains.
The Vice Prime-Minister also announced that he will ask for the measures of punishment of the responsible for making the barriers, making slow the entrepreneurial business development.
The corresponding letters, which the Vice Prime-Minister signed with the demand to stop immediately the total lawlessness, were sent to the government authorities (including the General Public Prosecutor Office of Ukraine). The Minister asked to tell to the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine about any facts of administrative intervention and restriction of the entrepreneurial business.
