Ukraine. State of 80% of winter crops sprouting estimated as good and satisfactory
This was disclosed by Agriculture Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk at a press conference in Kyiv. According to the Minister, 13% of areas are considered to be unsatisfactory.
Mykola Prysiazhniuk noted that as of October 21, agricultural economies sowed 7.6 million ha with winter crops, including wheat - 6.3 million ha (6 million ha last year), barley - 0.97 million ha against 1.1 million ha respectively. At the same time, the agrarian science speaks about possibility of continuation of sowing in Ukraine's southern regions, the Minister noted.
