Ukraine. Spring grain crops sown on 63% of planned acreage
According to live data, in Ukraine spring grain crops and leguminous cultures were sown on almost 4.8 million ha or 63% of the plan.
Out of them, early spring grain crops and leguminous cultures make up almost 4.17 million ha, 96% of the planned areas, information from the Agrarian Policy Ministry. Additional fertilizing of almost 7.8 million ha of winter crops was carried out, 98% of the plan, on the same period of the previous year winter crops additional fertilizing was carried out on 7.93 million ha (96%). As of April 27, 2009, early spring crops were sown on the area of 4.67 million, or 105% of the planned areas, spring crops were sown on the area of 5.35 million ha (72%).
