Ukraine. Sown area under 2010 harvest to make 26.9mn ha
Sown area under the 2010 yield will be 26.9 million ha, which is at the level of average long-term data, Ukraine's Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Prysiazhniuk said Tuesday in Kyiv.
Thus, under spring crops it is planned to sow 15.6 million ha, including spring cereals and leguminous - 7.3 million ha, under potatoes and vegetables - 1.9 million ha, under fodder crops - 2.9 million ha.
As of March 29 farmers planted 640,000 ha of spring crops, grains and leguminous, which is 15% of the forecast, while last year they planted 700,000 ha.
