Ukraine sowed winter grains throughout 5.7 mln ha
As of October 5, Ukraine sowed winter grains throughout the areas of 5.7 mln ha, which totaled 69% of the forecast, declared the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Agrarians of Ukraine sowed wheat throughout 5 mln ha (76% of the forecast), rye - 296 thsd ha (86% of the forecast), barley - 348 thsd ha (28% of the forecast).
Ukraine sowed winter rapeseed throughout 899 thsd ha, or 94% of the forecast.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts winter crops sowing areas for the current year at the level of 9.2 mln ha, including winter grains sowings - 8.3 mln ha, up 280 thsd ha compared to 2010 results.
