Ukraine not to impose limitations for grain exports in the future
Nikholay Azarov, Prime Minister of Ukraine, is completely sure that Ukraine will not impose any limitations for exports of grains in the future, informed the head of the Cabinet of Ministers during meeting with Christopher Smart, Deputy Head of the US Department of Finance, according to announcement of the Department of information and public affairs relations of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 7.
N.Azarov underlined that the Government had to use the present protection measures of the food market, due to the anomalous droughts in Ukraine and the deficit of grains in the world. Such measures allowed keeping the domestic price for bakery products in several times lower compared to the European Union countries. According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine has the sufficient carry-over stocks of grains, the state grain reserves total 1.6 mln tonnes, and the Government already started forward purchases for the new harvest. N.Azarov marked the successful realizing of the autumn and spring field works within the planned time limits, and the required additional fertilizing of winter crops sowings, provided by Ukrainian agrarians. In the case of receiving the good grain production volumes in 2011, the Government will not impose nay limitations, explained the head of the Cabinet of Ministers.
