Ukraine: Ministry of Agrarian Policy increased the forecast of grain production in 2011
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine increased the forecast grain production in 2011 to the level of 48 - 51 mln tonnes, declared Nikholai Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on July 29.
According to him, the average yield of grains exceed the previous year results by 6 c/ha. Last year the yield totaled 24 c/ha, but in the current year - 30 c/ha.
Previously, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasted grain production in 2011 at the level of 47 mln tonnes.
