Ukraine: May maize export totaled over 464.000 tonnes
Following May results, maize export totaled over 464.100 tonnes, up 2.4 timesas compared to April. Greece (79.900 tonnes), Turkey (79.100 tonnes), Italy (65.900 tonnes), Poland (62.100 tonnes) and Russia (50.000 tonnes) became the main buyers of maize in the report month.
In total, during eight months (October-May) of 2007/08 season, maize export totaled 1.1 mln tonnes, up 38% as compared to the analogical period of 2006/07 season.
