Ukraine increased production of milk and meat in 2012
Grain Ukraine. Meat production (live weight) in Ukraine in January-December 2012 increased by 3.4% a year to 3.136 MMT.
Egg production in 2012 increased by 2.3% to 19.117 billion units.
For the first time in six years, milk production in Ukraine rised in 2012. So in January-December 2012 milk production increased by 2,7% - to 11.389 MMT.
For the first time in 11 years in Ukraine recorded an increase herd of cattle in 2012.
It should be noted that as of January 1, 2013 herd of cattle, pigs and poultry increased compared to January 1, 2012 – by 1.8% to 4.504 million, by 1.9% to 7.516 million and by 6.5% to 213.854 million heads respectively.
