Ukraine: in May 2011, Nikolaev port processed nearly 200 thsd tonnes of grain cargoes
In May 2011, the state enterprise "Nikolaev Sea Trade Port" processed 194 thsd tonnes of grain cargoes, reported the press service of the port. In the reporting month, the port handled 755 thsd tonnes of export, import and transit commodities.
The port is connected with the sea by the Dnieper-Bug-Limansky Canal. Length of the canal - 44 miles, the channel width - 100 m.
The port of Nikolaev operates with the following transport corridors: TRACECA - "Europe - Caucasus - Asia"; MTC #7 - "The Danube waterway"; NELTI - “New Eurasian Land Transport Initiative" (Northern China - Kazakhstan - Western Europe).
