Ukraine in 2013 ups wheat flour exports by 36.6% - Income Ministry
Ukraine in 2013 exported 214,060 tonnes of wheat flour, which is 36.6% more than in 2012, according to the Income and Tax Ministry.
According to its data, in monetary terms flour exports increased by 39.5%, to $71.17 million.
Imports of wheat flour to the country, according to the agency, last year fell by 20.6% and amounted to 3,080 tonnes. Ukraine received $2.46 million worth of this product, which is 10.5% less than in 2012.
At the same time, imports of flour from other grains to Ukraine over the past year decreased from 8,000 tonnes worth $1.89 million to 250 tonnes worth $160,000. Exports of these products from the country grew by 46.9%, to 7,200 tonnes. In monetary terms, exports of flour from other grains amounted to $3.75 million, against $3.13 million in 2012.
