Ukraine: financial resources from selling of the quotas at auctions to be provided for the state support of grain production
The financial resources received from selling of the export grain quotas at auctions to be provided for realization of the state support of grain production in Ukraine, declared Nikolay Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
The Minister assured that the Government does not plan to continue realizing grain export limitations, including the regime of quotas, after July 1, 2011. According to the head of the Ministry, the current term of the quota regime will be active till July 1, 2011. Besides, the Government provided additional quotas for selling of 2 mln tonnes of maize at auctions. At the same time, the authorities plan to use the sums of money for increasing of grain production. As a reminder, on March 30, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine took the decision to prolong the regime of grain export quotas till July 1, 2011.
