Ukraine exports 32 mln tonnes of grain in 2013
Ukraine exported 22.132 million tonnes of grain to foreign countries in the first six months of the 2013/2014 marketing year, which was 4.825 million tonnes more than in the same period of the previous marketing year.
This was stated by Chairman of the State Agricultural Inspectorate of Ukraine Vladyslav Honcharenko, the inspectorate's press service reported.
"Over 32 million tonnes of grain was exported in 2013," Honcharenko said.
In addition, since the beginning of the 2013/2014 marketing year (July 1, 2013 through January 13, 2014) Ukraine has exported 23.62 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, including 6.901 million tonnes of wheat.
