Since the beginning of 2013/2014 marketing year (MY) and as of December 23, Ukraine has exported 17.6 million tonnes of grain crops, which is 27.7% up against the same period of the previous year.
The press service of the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine informs about this.
In particular, wheat exports over a reporting period made up 6.64 million tonnes (including 5.34 million tonnes of milling wheat), barley - 2.01 million tonnes, corn - 8.79 million tonnes.
Exports of oil-bearing crops since the beginning of 2013/2014 marketing year reached 2.5 million tonnes, in particular, rape - 1.9 million tonnes, soya - 0.61 million tonnes.
According to the Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry, as of December 19, in Ukraine, 63.664 million tonnes of grain with average crop capacity of 40.3 centners/ha was thrashed from 15.749 million ha (99%). 30.059 million tonnes of corn was harvested from 4.814 million ha. The average crop capacity of grain crops made up 62.4 centners/ha. The yield of sunflower seeds was harvested on 4.8 million ha and made up 10.6 million tonnes. Crop capacity made up approximately 22 centners/ha.
