Ukraine exported record level of sunflower oil and meal in April 2012
In April 2012 Ukraine exported the highest montly volume of crude and refined sunflower oil (339 Kt) and meal/cake (300 Kt). In September-April 2011/12 were exported 1.9 Mt of crude sunoil and 121 Kt of refined sunoil, 2.41 Mt of sun cake and meal and 600 Kt of husk.
According to Grain Ukraine's estimate, in September-April 2011/12 crushers have produced 2.58 Mt of crude sunoil, 2.41 Mt of sun cake and meal and 0.9 Mt of husk, which is 16% higher than in September-April 2010/11.
For the full season 2011/12 (September-August) Grain Ukraine forecasts, that Ukrainian crushers will produce about 3.6 Mt of crude sunflower oil, 3.3 Mt of sun cake and meal and 1.3 Mt of husk. Export will be about 3.1 Mt of sunflower oil (2.9 Mt of crude and 180 Kt of refined), 2.6 Mt meal and cake, and about 850 Kt of husk.
For the season 2012/13 is projected to further increase the production of sun oil and meal by about 6%. For more information see reports.
