Ukraine. Economy Ministry Initiating Increase Of Floor Retail Price Of Vodka By 14% To UAH 20.5
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine is initiating an increase in the floor retail price of vodka goods by 14.1% or UAH 2.54 to UAH 20.5 a half-liter bottle, for grape wine by 33.3% or UAH 4 to UAH 16 a 0.7-liter bottle in glass and a liter in other tare, reads draft Government Resolution developed by the Economy Ministry.
The draft document supposes setting the limit threshold of the floor wholesale-selling and retail price of vodka and liquor goods at UAH 77.65 and UAH 102.5 a liter of 100% spirit respectively, and for "Three Star" brandy and other alcohol distillation products and strong beverages at UAH 110.42 and 152.39 a liter of 100% spirit respectively.
They also suggest setting the floor wholesale-selling and retail price of "Four Star" brandy at UAH 121.31 and UAH 167.41 a liter of 100% spirit, for "Fire Star" brandy UAH 136.22 and UAH 187.98 a liter of 100% spirit respectively.
Thus, the ministry is proposing to raise the wholesale-selling prices of vodka by 14% and of brandy by 12.8% and 15.8%.
The floor retail price of vodka of UAH 102.5 a liter of 100% spirit corresponds to the price of UAH 20.5 a half-liter bottle; of "Three Star" brandy UAH 30.5 a half-liter bottle; of "Four Star" brandy UAH 33.5 a half-liter bottle; and of "Five Star" brandy UAH 37.6 a half-liter bottle.
The document is supposed to take force in 10 days from the moment of publishing.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, at the moment the floor retail price of vodka makes UAH 17.96 a bottle, of wine UAH 12 a bottle, of "Three Star" brandy UAH 26.3, of "Four Star" brandy UAH 29.34, and of "Five Star" brandy UAH 33.3 a half-liter bottle.
