Ukraine demands the EU to increase grain quotas
Ukraine’s Agrarian Policy Minister Mykola PRYSIAZHNIUK said that in free trade sone talks with the EU, Ukraine will insist on opening the markets for Ukrainian grain, poultry meat and eggs. “Today this is the main issue we are working on. We will assure the EU that we are ready to continue unimpeded imports of salt-water fish from EU member states, but we demand that our grain be admitted to the European markets – the quota be increased; including feed grain, poultry meat, eggs and whole egg powder,” said the Minister. He also pointed out that Ukraine already exports these products to other countries and there is no question regarding Ukrainian product quality.
