In 2011 Ukraine will not face the unprecedented rise of prices for buckwheat and sunflower oil, said Nikolayi Prysiazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
According to him, the Ministry will try to prevent agiotage on these products, providing the market with sufficient resources.
Also, N.Prysiazhnyuk noted that bakery products in Ukraine will not rise in prices, due to sufficient grain volumes in the country.
Over the first half year 2011, Ukraine managed to achieve a positive balance of trade in agricultural commodities, particularly grains, noted the Minister. At the same time, he said, the Government actively continues to seek access on foreign markets.
Ukraine requires to have stable consumer markets, including countries of the Middle East, China, Korea, Bangladesh. N.Prysiazhnyuk believes that the attractiveness of the industry may be motivated by three positions: consumption on the domestic market, increasing demand for exports and the government support.
