Ukraine: average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat increased
As of July 30, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat in Ukraine totaled 1327 UAH/t, an increase of 24% compared to the price index of the same date of the previous year, and up 10% compared to the previous week indices, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, referring to operative data of levels of average weighted purchasing prices for grains in Ukraine.
According to the announcement, as of the reporting date, the price of 4-grade wheat totaled 1222 UAH/t (up 28% compared to the last year price), 6-grade wheat – 1158 UAH/t (up 44%).
At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of 3-grade wheat totaled 1200 UAH/t and 1580 UAH/t, 4-grade wheat – 1080 UAH/t and 1500 UAH/t, 6-grade – 980 UAH/t and 1500 UAH/t, respectively.
Besides, as of July 30, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for rye, group A, in Ukraine totaled 934 UAH/t, up 14% compared to the previous year index. The minimum price of the grain totaled 825 UAH/t, and the maximum price – 1114 UAH/t.
Maize price totaled 1268 UAH/t (up 35% compared to the level of 2009). At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices totaled 1170 UAH/t and 1500 UAH/t, respectively.
The average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade barley in Ukraine totaled 1050 UAH/t, up 34% compared to the previous year index. The minimum and maximum prices totaled 850 UAH/t and 1320 UAH/t, respectively.
As of July 30, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for sunflower in Ukraine totaled 2769 UAH/t, an increase of 39% compared to the price level of the same date of the previous year (1987 UAH/t), informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
As of the reporting date, the minimum price for the oilseed totaled 2300 UAH/t, the maximum price – 3000 UAH/t.
Besides, as of July 30, the average soybean price totaled 2543 UAH/t, down 15% compared to the previous year level (in 2009 – 3000 UAH/t). At the same time, the minimum and maximum prices of soybean totaled 2300 UAH/t and 2786 UAH/t, respectively.
As of the reporting date, the average weighted purchasing price for rapeseed in Ukraine totaled 3387 UAH/t, up 32% compared to the previous year prices. The minimum price totaled 3200 UAH/t, the maximum price – 3600 UAH/t.
