Ukraine: average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat grew by 3%
As of April 2, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade wheat in Ukraine totaled 1220 UAH/t, an increase of 3% compared to the same date of the previous year, and up 2% compared to March prices, declared the official web-site of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.
According to the announcement, as of the reporting date, the price of 4-grade wheat totaled 1141 UAH/t (up 9% compared to the last year price), 6-grade wheat – 1075 UAH/t (up 32%).
At the same time, prices of 4-grade and 6-grade wheat grew by 2% each compared to the previous month level.
As of April 2, 2010, the price of rye, group A, in Ukraine totaled 887 UAH/t, up 2% compared to the previous year, and up 4% compared to March indices.
Maize price totaled 1229 UAH/t (up 37% compared to the level of 2009). At the same time, the price did not change compared to the previous month level.
The average weighted purchasing price for 3-grade barley in Ukraine totaled 902 UAH/t, up 7% compared to the previous year, and up 1% compared to March indices.
As of April 2, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for sunflower in Ukraine totaled 3007 UAH/t, an increase of 53% compared to the same date of the previous year (1970 UAH/t), but down 1% compared to March 2010 prices, informed the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Soybean price totaled 3439 UAH/t, up 26% compared to the previous year level (in 2009 – 2736 UAH/t). At the same time, the price grew by 5% compared to the previous month level.
As of April 2, 2010, the average weighted purchasing price for rapeseed in Ukraine totaled 2894 UAH/t, up 22% compared to the previous year prices, and up 3% compared to March indices.
