Ukraine: as of the beginning of October, Crimea harvested 1634.7 thsd tonnes of grains
As of October 1, 2009, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) harvested 1634.7 thsd tonnes of grains in bunker weight, a decrease of 4% compared to the same level of the previous year, declared the Main department of statistics of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
According to the announcement, as of October 1, 2009, agrarians harvested grains and leguminous plant (without maize) throughout the area of 668.2 thsd ha, which totaled 96% of the planned areas.
The average yield of grains totaled 24.5 c/ha, down 4.2 c/ha compared to the previous year level.
