Ukraine and IMF preparing the implementation of 9 projects to an amount of $4.7 Bl
Ukraine together with international financial organizations is preparing the implementation of 9 projects in 2010-2012 to an amount у $4.7 Bl, informed the press-service of Ukraine’s Economy Ministry.
In particular, these include projects for rehabilitating Ukraine’s gas transportation system, constructing two subway sections in Kyiv, projects for improving the provision of heat supply services to households, constructing and reconstructing a section of the Kyiv – Kharkiv international motor road, reconstructing and constructing electrical networks in Southern Ukraine etc.
According to the Economy Ministry, over 45 projects with international financial organizations are at different stages of implementation in Ukraine. They are valued at $13.7 Bl. Besides, there are 235 joint projects for material and technical aid started in 2008 and 2009 (including those on the site of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant), whose total contract value exceeds $3.1 Bl.
