Ukraine. Agroholding Avangard to build two new battery firms
The Avangard agroholding that is engaged in production of eggs and egg products plans by 2012 to increase export of products from 14% tо 30% of total production volume, the company CEO Oleh Bakhmatiuk has said.
He also noted that Avangard does not plan to strengthen its presence on the domestic Ukrainian market (by results of 2009, the company's share on the egg and egg products market made up 23% and 52% respectively).
Bakhmatiuk also informed that the holding plans to put into exploitation two battery firms by the end of 2012.
The plant's work on biogas production, the head of the company noted, will ensure battery firms' capacities by own energy, as well as it will enable to sell electric energy on the market.
The holding's production capacities are located in 13 Ukrainian regions and in Crimea. The company exports its products to 16 world countries, mainly to the Middle East and Asia.
The Avangard's gain for the previous year made up USD 319.9 million against USD 302.3 million in 2009.
