Tractor production down 85% in ten months
The production of tractors for agriculture and forestry in Ukraine fell by 85.1% in January-October 2009 year-over-year, to 909 vehicles.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the production of seeders shrank by 81.5% to 1,357 units, while the production of disk harrows fell by 85.7% to 768 units.
Tractor production fell by 20% in 2008 year-over-year, to 6,339 vehicles, while the production of seeders reduced by 13.5% to 7,744 units.
