Price for pork increased again
As it was forecasted, the purchase price for live pigs started to increase again. During the second half of October, the price increased by 5,7%. As of October 30 pigs of meat breeds in Ukraine were sold for 30,00-32,00 UAH/kg (including VAT). Pork of the second category was sold for 28,50-30,00 UAH/kg.
This week some market operators plan to continue raising prices, but it is difficult to predict how long this tendency will last, because the ASF extended its geography and was fixed in Odessa and Mykolaiv regions.
