Sugar production up 73% in nine months
In January-September 2009, Ukrainian sugar plants produced 161,000 tons of granulated sugar from beet raw sugar. Production grew by 73% against the same period of 2008, says the State Statistics Committee. Plants did not process cane raw sugar in the reported period.
