State Statistics Committee: as of Oct 1, agrarians harvested 68,800 MT rice
As of Oct 01/09, agrarians have harvested 68,800 MT rice (up 2,8 times against Oct 01/08), reported State Statistics Committee.
As to Committee, rice has been harvested at 11,500 ha (up 2,6 times against Oct 01/08).
Reportedly, this year rice average yield is 60,2 metric centners per ha (up 4,5 metric centners per ha as of last year similar).
As to Agro Perspective earlier report, 2008 rice crop totaled 100,700 MT (in terms of weight after additional processing), down 7,300 MT (- 6.8%) against 2007.
2007 rice crop totaled 108,000 MT (in terms of weight after additional processing), up 8,500 MT (+ 8.5%) as of 2006.
