State Customs to introduce 'green corridor' for cargoes
The State Customs Service of Ukraine intends to facilitate customs control and cargoes clearance via introducing a 'green corridor' for fair exporters and resident importers. By the end of 2009, the number of cargo inspections at the internal customs is planned to be reduced from 80% to 30%. Companies included into the so-called 'white list' (23 points and more) as a result of the State Customs estimate will obtain the right to open bonded warehouses without a customs representative. Their cargoes will not be inspected at checkpoints. Cargoes of those included into the 'green list' (18-22 points) will be checked at customs selectively. The operating customs clearance system will apply to companies with less points assigned.
