Soybean becomes one of the top three crops in 2016
According to the survey of Ahrobarometr conducted under the exhibition ‘Grain Technologies 2017’by the experts of Association ‘Ukrainian Agribusiness Club’, profitability of soybean significantly increased in Ukraine.
Sunflower, soy and corn were determined by the agricultural producers as the most profitable crops in 2016. Prime cost of production amounted to 500 USD/ha last year, the average yield - 2.3 tons/ha, the selling price at domestic sales on the average totaled 365 USD/t in terms of EXW conditions. In 2015, the three leading crops included sunflower, wheat and corn.
The new research ‘Winter Grain Congress’ presentation of which will take place on February, 28 at the Winter Cereal Congress, includes analyzed polling data from agricultural producers regarding winter crops sowing, demand for seeds and crop protection products. The total area of surveyed enterprises was 1.36 million. ha. The average size of enterprises is 3.4 thous. ha.
