Russia wants to introduce meal tickets in Crimea
The unrecognized authorities of the annexed Crimea are going to introduce meal tickets. The idea came from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, according to TSN.
"The ministry expects shortage of agricultural products due to problems with irrigation. Earlier Crimea was fully provided with grain, vegetables and fish. Now the ministry proposes to subsidize the needy and give them some products based on meal tickets," the publication reads. People are outraged at the prospect and say that this is a step backward, not forward, and they will have to wait in line in a store with food coupons.
Crimeans are outraged that there is a prospect to getting food on coupons, like after the war.
