Russia to increase annual grain production to 125-130 mln tons
In the nearest future, Russia will increase annual grain production to the level of 125-130 mln tons, exports – to 30-40 mln tons, declared Alexander Petrikov, the Secretary of State, the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on May 28.
In 2008, grain producers of Russia harvested over 108 mln tons of grains.
According to A.Petrikov, Russia takes nearly 5% in the world grain production, at the same time, the country owns nearly 9% of the world arable lands.
