Russia saw zero inflation in September - Rosstat
Russia on September 22-28 saw a zero inflation rate. Since the beginning of the month it was at the point of freezing as well. Since the beginning of the year it has measured 8.1 percent, Prime-Tass quotes the federal state statistics service (Rosstat) as saying.
According to preliminary estimates, inflation in Russia in September will be equal to nothing.
In September 2008 and 2007 inflation measured 0.8 percent, and in September 2006, 0.1 percent. Zero inflation has never been registered in September since 1992. September 1993 saw a deflation of 0.3 percent.
