Russia. RGU supports imposition of 10% import duties for soybeans
On Aug. 27, the committee of directors of Russian Grain Union (RGU) accepted the decision to initiate the imposition of the import duty at the rate of 10%, but not lower Ђ30 per tonne, for soybeans imported into the Russian Federation.
The RGU said the main aims of the imposition of the duty are to support Russia’s domestic soybean producers and to help the Russian Federation’s oilseed production grow.
