Russia produced over 21 mln tonnes of wheat - Ministry of Agriculture

As of July 27, 2011, Russian agrarians harvested grains and leguminous crops in Russia throughout the areas of over 8 mln ha (18% of the sowing areas), and produced nearly 27 mln tonnes of grains, declared the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Agrarians harvested wheat throughout the areas of over 6.1 mln ha (24% of the forecast), and produced over 21.2 mln tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 34.4 c/ha (in 2010 - 26 c/ha).
Russia harvested barley throughout the area of 751.3 thsd ha (9.4% of the forecast), and produced over 2.4 mln tonnes of the grain. The average yield totaled 32.5 c/ha (in 2010 - 23.5 c/ha).
To date, agrarians of the Southern, North Caucasian, Central and Volga Federal Districts continue harvesting works of grains and leguminous crops.
