Russia: losses of winter grain sowings to reach the average annual level
According to data of the Analytical center of CJSC Rusagrotrans, 96% of winter grain sowing areas in southern regions of the Russian Federation show good and satisfactory condition. Agrarians of the southern regions already started the sowing works of early spring crops. Other regions of the country provide the active preparation works for the spring sowing campaign.
According to analysts of the company, the general areas of perished winter grain sowing areas in the country will possibly reach the level of 1.35 mln ha (9%), which is the average annual index. The rates of the sowing works became delayed by two times compared to the last year results, however agrarians of the country plans to sow spring grains throughput nearly 30 mln ha (up 1.9 mln ha compared to 2010). As a reminder, according to estimations of APK-Inform Agency, the remaining areas of winter crops sowings are estimated at the level of 14.4 mln ha.
