Prysiazhniuk: Ukraine set to start grain futures at CME by year end

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is planning to start corn, barley and sunoil futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) by the end of the year, Agrarian and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said Thursday at a meeting with domestic and foreign investors in Kyiv, UKRINFORM reported citing Latifundist.com.
"By the end of the year we plan to introduce new futures contracts for corn, barley, sunflower oil," the minister said.
He recalled that on Wednesday, June 6, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange began direct trading in Ukrainian agricultural products, in particular, a new wheat futures contract is introduced.
