Production of spirit in January - September decreases by 5%
According to the corporation Ukrspirt, production of ethanol in Ukraine amounted to 180mn litres in January - September 2009 (down 4.9% year-on-year). Though supplies to the local market increased by 33mn litres. The consolidated profit of Ukraine's spirit plants amounted to UAH 45.70mn (EUR 3.73mn USD 5.52mn), including UAH 19.9mn of the profit of the corporation Ukrspirt's establishments, the loss to UAH 25.8mn.
