President of Ukraine praises UAE leadership

President Viktor Ushchenko of Ukraine has paid tribute to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and reiterated the deep-rooted ties of cooperation between the two countries.
Receiving a visiting delegation from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) today, President Ushchenko said that Ukraine and the UAE must further strengthen their economic cooperation. He also called for boosting UAE's investments in Ukraine in the fields of industry, future energy, minerals, oil equipment, agriculture, infrastructure and aerospace.
He said that his country managed to attract USD 38 billion in Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) during the past three years.
The delegation is being led by Salah Salem bin Omeir Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Chambers Federation and ADCCI.
Al Shamsi said under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces the ADCCI, the ADCCI sought to develop economic cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries.
He added the visit was aimed at acquainting business sectors in Abu Dhabi with the investment opportunities in Ukraine.
