Pig iron export 35% up in July
Pig iron export grew by 35% or 33,380 tons in July 2009 from June 2009, to 128,750 tons.
The major purchaser of Ukrainian pig iron in July was Turkey that bought 40,840 tons or 31.7% of pig iron exported by Ukraine last month.
Pig iron export dropped by 21.4% or 211,950 tons in January-July 2009 year-over-year, to 778,990 tons.
Pig iron export dropped by 28.7% or 593,790 tons in 2008 from 2007, to 1.472 million tons.
